What this is, and what it is not.

The part that matters

This is educational information. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for your clinician. Nu Link is not a healthcare provider and no clinician-patient relationship is created by using it. Nothing here prescribes, dispenses, recommends or supplies any medication, peptide or supplement. Never start, stop or change a prescription based on anything you read here. If you are having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.

1. What the service does

Base1Health has two halves. The research library summarises published evidence about cosmetic and research peptides, graded against a stated methodology with every assessment traced to its source. The coach calculates energy and macronutrient targets from published equations and builds food and training plans around them.

Both are information. Acting on information about your own body is your decision, and for anything that interacts with a medical condition or a medication it is a decision to make with a clinician.

2. What the service does not do

It does not diagnose. It does not prescribe. It does not tell you what dose of anything to take, including a medication you have already been prescribed. It does not tell you where to buy a medication, a peptide or a supplement, and it carries no affiliate links, referral codes or sponsored placements — we take no money from anyone who sells these things, which is also why the rankings in the library cannot be bought.

Where the coach supports somebody taking a GLP-1 medication, it supports the nutrition and training around a prescription issued by a clinician who is not us. It has no view on whether you should be taking it and will not offer one.

3. Who may use it

You must be 18 or over. The service refuses to set targets for minors, and creating an account on behalf of someone under 18 is a breach of these terms.

It is not appropriate — and the coach is built to decline — if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a current or past eating disorder. Those situations need a clinician setting your targets, not an algorithm, and we would rather decline than be useful-looking and wrong.

4. The numbers

Calorie and macronutrient targets are computed from the Mifflin-St Jeor and Katch-McArdle equations with published activity multipliers, and the derivation is shown to you. These are population equations: they estimate the average requirement of people matching your inputs, and individual metabolic rate varies around that average. Treat a target as a starting point to be adjusted from what actually happens to your body, which is precisely what the logging and the adjustment proposals are for.

Food composition comes from USDA FoodData Central. Where a food cannot be matched, the row is labelled as an estimate and contributes nothing to the totals rather than contributing a guess. You should still check anything that matters.

5. Accounts

Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us if you think it has been accessed by somebody else and we will revoke every session on it.

We may suspend an account that is being used to attack the service, to generate content for somebody else to pass off as medical advice, or to extract the library wholesale. We will say why.

6. Payment

Paid plans are monthly, charged in advance through Stripe, and cancellable at any time. Cancelling stops the next charge and leaves your access running to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not pro-rate a partial month, and we do not bill you again to make a point.

If the service was unusable or you were charged in error, email support@base1health.com and we will refund it. Prices may change; existing subscribers get notice before it affects them.

7. Your content

What you write stays yours. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the service for you: to store it, to send the relevant parts to the model provider so you can get an answer, and to show it back to you. We do not use it to train models and we do not publish it. See the privacy notice.

8. Our content

The library’s assessments, the methodology and the site itself are ours. Read them, cite them, quote them with attribution. Do not scrape the library to republish it as your own, and do not present our assessments as though a clinician had reviewed your particular case.

9. Liability

The service is provided as it is, without warranty that it is complete, current or suited to your situation. Published evidence changes and an assessment that was accurate when written may not stay accurate.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Nu Link is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any outcome arising from a decision you made about your own health. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your rights as a consumer, which these terms do not affect.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. A material change will be shown to you in the product and you will be asked to accept it rather than being deemed to have agreed by continuing to use the site.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, and the courts there have jurisdiction — without affecting any right you have to bring a claim locally under the consumer law of the country where you live.
